Really? you guys like this ultra "peppy" version of 'be there'? I think it's way too up-tempo. I do enjoy some of what was added to it---it's more layered and a lot of the details on this version are beautiful--- but overall, it just feels so rushed--way too upbeat. I love the original version of the song, soooo much, and this version just feels distorted in comparison. I've only heard the song that's on the howieday.com pg., haven't yet gotten the EP, but I'm assuming it's the same. Speaking of which, have you guys seen this page? ANd the revamped myspace page? Can I just ask---WHy????? THe artwork on it is unbearably cheesy. I like the concept of the photo, I get what they were trying to do, but the shot they picked just looks and feels so contrived. ANd this polished, commercialized "be there" makes me nervous for the new album. I hope they just let howie do his thing and didn't try to force anything on the album just to make it sell like crazy and follow the success of "collide". All this makes me feel lifke they're trying to make Howie super commercial now, and the "Live" howie whose wonderful, authentic sound we all fell in luv with, ----is not that. WHy do music labels have to commercialize music and artists that don't need to be tampered with??? Please! just let howie do what he knows is right----that's the music we all luv and support! ANd will buy! All this being said, I'm still excited to hear the other stuff on the EP, and needless to say very excited for the tour.
