Ok so let me offically be the first *newbie* to post here. I've been floating around this board for about a week and a half, and this is my first post. Let me say that howie day rocks my world. From one music LOVER to the next, this man has serious talent.
 I went to the Avalon show on 9.29 (downloaded it the next day), and he was everything I expected live, and more.... I think his parents were sitting in front of us on the balcony, what a great view from up there, you can see everthing and just take it all in. SOOOO excited for the new album, and for him. YEAH HOWIE!!!!!! Keep on making me smile... Thanks everyone for a great forum of sharing your expierences and opinions... Laura

ok. i'm a newbie too. i'm krista, from sacramento california. i heard of howie through my boyfriend who heard of him through some girls that came down from canada to visit him.. (not so happy about the girls part, but that 's another story, and howie definitely made it worth it). anyhow... we've been listening to every single thing we could find.. i've been goin nuts for this new album to come out. i got tickets to the show in san fran on the 23rd for my birthday, and then couldn't help it so i bought 2 more for the next night. i am soooo totally thrilled about howie. i know he's gonna keep getting bigger and bigger. i can't wait to hear his looping live.... oh my god!!!! i am a huge CURE fan, and for some reason, some of howie's stuff reminds me of them. thanks for bein so cool you guys. i know having newbies is cool because it means more peeps are listening, but i know it could also feel invasive... so again, thank you.

im also a newbie to the board, but not to howie. I found out about him in early 2002 and became a fan when i went to the 5.10.02 show. so, thats my story, and ill probably be around talking about how amazing howie is! oh, and this board seems really cool, howie fans rock!!!

Hey everyone! I'm Karina, and I would call myself a newbie...but for some reason that word really angers me. I think it's because I dont enjoy adding the "ie" sound to the ends of words...but anyways, I've been reading this board for a while now...a few months probably...but today I decided I should actually get around to signing up and posting. I found Howie the start of last summer when he opened for the Goo Goo Dolls in Seattle, and have been hooked ever since. Looking forward to chattin with you guys, and hopefully having some intelligent things to say!

Hi, I guess I am a new board member but been a fan since around the cold winter of 2000 when I used to live in Lincoln Nebraska. I found out about Howie when I was just downloading off of Napster (when it was free). I just typed in (acoustic), because a majority of songs I like to listen to are performed acoustically. I fell in love with the song "Ghost" and continued to listen to hime. I visited the site often but never posted, just check to see if he was touring in my area. So, here I am today, joining the "newbie invasion". But, I live in Tempe Arizona now, moved out here and finished my undergrad at ASU. Now I just drink my borem away, enjoy the mild winters and most importantly to be a part of a great local music scene. If you all are interested I am also on another board by the band Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. I get lots of inside scoop from other bands and also is a good clean bulletin board. BTY, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers ROCK! Check them out, a great local band(Old Refreshments, mixed in with other talented Tempe musicians.) i have been a member for quite awhile, but i guess i just don't post enough to reach that magical non-newbie quota! so maybe this post'll get me one closer! i've been a howie fan for three years. i've seen him once in concert at the rathskeller in indianapolis on 11.25.02. i'm now a freshmen at indiana university in bloomington, and i hope he comes here soon! i actually found out about howie in a strange way: on a robbie williams message board. someone posted saying howie was similar (i see zero similarity) and i checked him out. i was hooked at first listen. i went on a downloading frenzy and made a cd, which has been glued to my stereo for the past three years! but i also buy his albums too, just to show my howie support! i like to make howie friends. so if anyone wants to talk my aim screen name is in my sig!
