I saw him open for Tori last Nov and fell in love....I've posted a few things but mostly observing...I just went to the Det show last night....FABULOUS!! Unfortunately due to where I'm at, I've never seen him live. WHen I heard what he was doing, i decided to add a DL-4 and a DD-5 to my show, the same way he heard someone else do similiar things. For clarification, I don't do things the same way, but he definately inspired my live show to change. I hope to get to know you all soon.

I fell in love with his music after seeing him at my school, the University of Maryland, back in September of 2001. I just saw him at the 9:30 show in DC, and it made me want to search out more howie fans! So here I am I'm still working my way around the boards, but I figured I'd go ahead and introduce myself. Closest anyone has come is first name Jeremy and last name Curtis (Jeremy by way of the setlist w/ a backing vocals note and Curtis by way of listening to the band intros). We have confirmed Laurie Jenkins (his website confirms his presence) and Les Hall. There is a Boston-based Jeremy Curtis who plays bass for a band called Sticky. I have yet to get an answer on whether this is him, despite begging anyone and everyone to ask. (wow, napster seems so long ago) i think those 1st songe were "she says" and "sweet." i feel in love with his music soon after. i haven't seen him live yet, but that's all changing this week. i'm going to one of his shows in boulder, co and maybe the one in denver as well. i'm making up for all the times i couldn't go see him. i like the idea of this board. there's finally a place to talk about howie without someone going "huh." oh yeah, hi! my name's natalie i'm living in fort collins co. natallie

Posts: 3972 (10/14/03 15:45:22) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	hey there newbies cant wait to get to know y'all and see you post some more and luke, to answer your question- i love all his records for various reasons, its hard to put one over the other since they are all geared towards different reactions from people- i love "australia" for its rough indie quality and for being able to see the start of a young and talented musician, "the madrigals ep" is a great insight into waht he hears in his head when he is writing a song (as far as the demos go) and its got an awesome little DVD, and his new album "stop all the world now" is just a really strong growth and shows how his music has progressed in the past four years he has had to write and experience what the world has got to offer so i recommend all of them ~april~ i rock the howie howie WHAT!
