Hi! I'm Juli. I've been a fan of Howies for a while now, and kind of lurked this board and looked around but I decided to start posting. Everyone here seems really nice, which is a change from some boards I post on, but very nice to see.

Hello, I am new. I just recently started listening to Howie, but I think he is awesome. Some guy I met at school played a couple of his songs on the guitar for me and I liked it so I bought SATWN. I loved it. I then bought Australia and the Madrigals EP, loved them as well. I find myself listening to him all the time. I am not good with computers, and I have never traded, or downloaded any live shows before so if anybody has any suggestions or helpful hints I would really appreciate it. I went and saw howie twice this summer and both times were awesome!!

go to www.archive.org there are tons of live howie shows from the late 90's to 05

Hi I'm Caroline, from the Howie-less country of Australia. I discovered Howie last October via my Amazon account who recommend me his album Australia and brought it on impulse and I have loved it ever since. I've also got Stop All the World Now and love Collide.

wassup yep i am a newbie too... been listening to howie for about two and a half years now and can't wait for another CD, i just heard two of his new songs in concert in San Diego and they both rocked my world... howie lovers unite haha

Hello all. I just joined up and am enjoying this site very much. But..Hope you don't mind sharing your board with an oldie-umm, God this hurts-like 55 year oldie. LOL. And while I can appreciate his "hotness", he is so so so way too young for me to get all worked up about. But I love his music, songs, and voice. Once I heard Collide it was over, I drove people, neighbors, friends, and some strangers, even, nuts trying to find out all I could about the song, the writer, the singer. Somehow that song just made absolute sense to me. Got to see him at the House of blues in Anaheim, CA. That's where I got my first actual look at this voice I had only heard. Young, Baby boy, kid, were running through my head til he started singing. Sooooo... is there room here for a newbie but oldie?

Ahh Thank you. I was feeling a bit out of place. But I just can't get enough Howie. In fact my kids have threatened to take away my computer, stereo, CD Player, etc if they have to hear that album one more time, no matter how much they like it too. So I got some ear thingies (techno I'm not) and am just a Happy girl.

Now you need to go out and get the Madrigals DVD and play that on your computer so you can see him too. His solo work is another level of amazement that most new fans have yet to experience. -Joe |

 I was just thinking the same thing. On my list for tomorrow. From what I have seen and read, I think I'm gonna find another song to obsess, well almost obsess, over. Maybe even a few songs. Run Kids Run. Mom's got some more new music! LOL.
