Newbie here! I discovered Howie when he was on Tour with Tori. Just went to his Chicago shows. I am absolutely hooked now!

yeah same here...howie fan for practically forever, but newbie to posting- had some troubles signing up. but am so glad to be a part of this! everyone is so friendly & supportive of the music. and hey to laubell- i was @ the avalon too, and downloaded the day after...so amazing!

Greetings everyone,
Another newbie to add to the list In November 2002, I saw Tori Amos at the ACC and opening for her was Howie Day. I was absolutely blown away, the second I heard his voice I got chills. I watched in amazement as this one man took on the stage, he was so amazing!! Right after the show I bought his CD and have been hooked ever since.

I also discovered Howie when he was on Tour with Tori back in November of 2002. I was completely blown away and enjoyed his performance more than Tori's! I have been a fan ever since. I just saw him in detroit and I will also be attending the Columbus show. I have enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts on here and glad to finally join in!

Hallo everybaaady...
Long time fan of Howie's...and I finally made a username for the board. Been to about 5 or 6 howie shows in the last 2 years. He's got crafty lyrics, and an awesome voice...either way you here him- full band or with just a looper; he definitely always puts on a great show... I'm a singer/songwriter myself...and I cover howie stuff when I gig. My site'll be up in about a month or so...and I'll definitely link all y'all so you can check it out.. Till then! James |

yep...newbie here...and i'll be the first to admit i didn't even know who howie day was until spring semester last year when a friend was playing guitar and singing one of his songs "she says". i didn't really dive into him until this summer when a friend sent the cd to me while i was away. now i'm addicted and i can't get enough. it's kind of an obsession...listening to the CDs and watching the DVDs...crazy! then my closest friends and i went to his chicago show, i was amazed at how talented and into his music he was. completely blown away...it was just like freaking heaven! being with my three closest friends, which also introduced me to his music made it even more special....
anyhow...gotta stay on task and get back to some grad school studying...booo

Ya know, I think it's kinda weird that the term "newbie" is dependent on quantity of posts versus longevity on the board. I've been a "phantom" on the board - just reading - for over a year, but never posted really.

Hi everyone !!
I've been checking this board for a while now and wanted to say hi...from France !!! I've discovered Howie in february 2003 in paris when he was opening for Tori Amos ! For the first time in my life, I would have wished the opening act to last longer ! I was so thrilled by his performance !! So now I'm addicted to his music...and I'm really looking forward to see him again in France !!! ps : hope my english is not too bad...sorry if I made any mistake ! |
