It's been more than three years since fans have heard from Howie Day. But the singer-songwriter is coming back in a big way with 'Be There,' the first single from his May 5th-due EP of the same name. "These three songs represent a great cross section of the entire album that comes out later in the summer, and I wanted to give fans a little bit of each facet of the record," Day tells PopEater of the EP. "From the stripped down acoustic track that we recorded in my home studio ('40 Hours'), to the more driving rock track ('Be There') and 'Counting on Me' which is the moodier rock track. I wanted to try and have a little of everything." For those who want more, you wont have to wait long; Day is releasing this third studio album, titled 'Sound the Alarm,' on August 25.
