I wanted to comment last night... but was litterally falling asleep trying to type.
The concert was better than I expected. I hadn't seen him live since I think 2002 at the TLA? I went with a group of people who had not seen him live before and I think they were expecting "Collide" type songs the entire night and were floored at the end of the night at the level of performance. It reminded me of his days of playing at "The Point" in Bryn Mawr. His fake story about the new "Stung" song followed by him singing about planting flowers was hysterical. He then mentioned that because the show was being recorded, that he had to have a "clean beginning" to the song. Was it being recorded by anyone here or by Epic? He played a good number of new songs which were all good I thought. As far as the "oldies" go... (sorry not in order, but I'm sure someone has a better setlist) She Says Sorry So Sorry Bunnies Ghost (Beams of Light) PTOD Collide Buzzing (someone had requested it and he didn't remember all the words and asked the crowd after the first verse how the next verse starts) Puff the Magic Dragon, haha. I got a few videos on my digital camera...but my computer is being completely retarded and I'm having trouble uploading them

Yeah, I should've been there. It was a school night, I had to get observed the next day teaching how to find area to my 4th graders (us teachers have to get observed by our principals twice a year, y'know...), and I couldn't make it.
I am definitely pissed, but what can you do? I hope to somehow get a recording of the show. Smanky, if you by happen by chance know any super cool chicks who may have taped the show, could you please let her know I would really like it if I could get a copy? Thanks! Justin |
